A lovely copper foiled panel of red glass nuggets and stained glass bordered by stainless steel wire rods at each side.
Flaming Red Panel
This red copper foiled panel was made using 3 different shades of transparent textured glass pieces cut in my distinctive organic style combined with gorgeous red glass nuggets of different sizes, set on either side by strong stainless steel wires.
The process started by choosing from a range of beautiful, textures and shades of red transparent stained glass, until I found the perfect complimentary combination. Each piece of glass was cut into swaying, organic shapes before the edges were ground smooth, copper-foiled and tin-soldered. Then all the pieces were combined together with the copper-foiled and tin soldered glass nuggets within and onto the stainless steel wires on both sides. The whole piece was then bead soldered. The hoops were made and added to the top of the piece for the chain to be attached to. The final piece was thoroughly washed and polished.
