This is a stunning piece of my work inspired by my love of English Bluebells.
My idea of making this panel was to enable each hanging 'bell' to be able to 'nod' whilst still being attached to the the rest of the plant and also having the background of the green vegetation and wispy, cloudy sky.
You may notice when you see more of my work that I love circles too!
The design starts with the bluebell and so each one is slightly different from the last one I made but always includes the bluebell plant, a selected piece of mainly green (grassy) stained glass and another carefully selected streaky white and clear stained glass.
It is hung from a nylon line which is threaded through the hidden hoops soldered to the back of the panel. It can be hung in your home eg in a window or against a mirror.
An original piece. A fabulous present.
Bluebells
This hanging is an example of the one I would make for you, until I have made a new one!
Each of the 2 pieces of stained glass which form the background have gorgeous varying patterns and colours. The piece used at the bottom is steaky green suggesting the grass the bluebell is growing in. The top piece gives a wispy, cloudy appearance.
I have soldered 2 hidden hoops behind the back of the panel and have threaded some nylon line through the hoops and secured them in place so it is ready to hang.
