This lovely little funky panel was made using 3 pieces of glass cut in my distinctive organic style. I used green and yellow transparent textured glass for the top and bottom of this panel and eventually found this perfectly complimented piece of opaque glass for the middle section. I love the final look, which was finished off with these gorgeous little greena nd yellow glass nuggets and twisted wire within the strong stainless steel wire frame.
The process started by choosing from a range of beautiful, textures and shades of transparent and opaques stained glass, until I found the perfect complimentary combination. Each piece of glass was cut into swaying, organic shapes before the edges were ground smooth, copper-foiled and tin-soldered. Then all the pieces were combined together with the copper-foiled and tin soldered glass nuggets within and onto the stainless steel wire frame. Each part More wire was carefully twisted and curved onto the design to give added strength and beauty to the final piece. The whole piece was then bead soldered. The hoops were made and added to the top of the piece for the chain to be attached to. The final piece was thoroughly washed and polished.
