This  sculptural creation is made using a gorgeous selection of shades and textures of amber coloured stained glass. It is a completely original design of mine and the only one like it in my  range of stained glass wheels.

Why not treat yourself or someone you care about to this amazing piece of artwork which is standing in a beautiful piece of elm - photos to follow soon or please ask. The Elm base has been made to give it a solid base so that it can be spun around the centre point of the wheel.

You can enjoy this fabulous piece in a large well lit room  or conservatory in your home, in a garden room  or on a flat surface in your garden.

Think of yourself setting the wheel spinning around and then enjoying watching it spin fast and then gradually slowing down to a stop, before you spin it again.

It is a perfect special present!  We would need to liase about how best to get the wheel and heavy base to you. I'm sure we could also work out how  to deliver it to someone else for you, with a 'maker's note' too on request!

PS If you would like this wheel to be a hanging rather than on a stand please contact me.

Amber Coloured Stained Glass Bicycle Wheel Sculpture on Elm Wood Stand

  • This is one of a range of bicycle wheels I have made using the frame and spokes of the wheel as a basis to create a beautiful sculpture. I have attached 24  preprepared  pieces of stained glass to the spokes of the wheel, one by one.

The first one I made was for the Tour De Yorkshire celebrations which were taking place locally.

The wheel is attached to a long piece of metal which slots into a hole in a beautiful piece of elm which has been carefully sanded and treated with oil.

Yet another truly unique piece, the only one I have ever made. It is a very special present.  Please contact me before  ordering this fabulous piece to discuss  pick up or delivery to you or your chosen friend or relative.   I can provide  a hand written 'note from the maker' explaining how the piece was made and, if required, who has chosen this piece, and why.
